The Xiaomi 14 Ultra was officially presented in China while its announcement in Europe is fast approaching. The opportunity to confirm all the information about it while waiting.
Get ready, Android fans! The highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 Ultra, poised to be the brand's next flagship champion, has shed its cloak of secrecy, revealing most of its specifications and design elements ahead of its European launch. Scheduled for sometime in March or April 2024, the 14 Ultra promises to be a force to be reckoned with, packing a powerful punch in both performance and photography.
That's it! We already know everything there is to know (or almost) about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra while its presentation in Europe is expected on February 25. No need to wait until then, the brand has already officially presented the very ambitious high-end smartphone in China. At the same time, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi, shared several information on Weibo.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra therefore has a 6.73-inch Oled screen with a definition of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz. The smartphone has dimensions of 161.4 x 75.3 x 9.2 mm for a weight of 224.4 grams. Aesthetically speaking, the new smartphone relies on a very imposing rear photo block. The module adopts a circular shape to house four cameras and appears quite protruding.

We shouldn't have to worry about power with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip integrated into this Xiaomi 14 Ultra. For autonomy too, the brand wants to reassure with a 5300 mAh battery compatible with 90 W wired fast charging which promises 100% energy in 34 minutes. For wireless charging, we go up to 80 W.
On the software side, Xiaomi highlights its new HyperOS interface which should also be included on European models to replace MIUI. Let's also highlight the satellite communication function.
Very heavy for photography
Very good arguments, but it is obviously in the photo part that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra wants to impress the most. We therefore have here, among other things, a one-inch main photo sensor with a definition of 50 Mpx with a variable aperture diaphragm ranging from f/1.63 to f/4.0 with 1024 possible positions (you are not limited to only two opening levels). Here we are on a 23 mm equivalent wide-angle lens.
Added to this are three other sensors, all also 50 Mpx. We have an ultra-wide-angle (12 mm equivalent, f/1.8), a x3.2 telephoto lens (75 mm equivalent, f/1.8), and a second telephoto lens, x5 this time (120 mm equivalent, f/2.5). With this configuration, Xiaomi also promises a high-level 10x zoom even if it is managed digitally. A bit along the same lines as what we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
All this is done under the aegis of the partnership with the specialist Leica while Xiaomi also highlights an artificial intelligence model called “Xiaomi AISP” capable of optimizing photo processing to make it more efficient and faster. Portrait mode also benefits from AI integration, particularly for videos.
